You may, at this point, not know that much about Slovenia. At Travel Kinship, we sought to find a partner in Slovenia because we believe it is a largely undiscovered gem that deserves more attention.

Slovenia is well known for its diverse gastronomic heritage. Slovenia offers a variety of traditional dishes influenced by a mixture of Adriatic, Mediterranean and Central European cuisine and has an abundance of high-end restaurants and contemporary cuisine on offer.
Gastronomy is a huge part of the culture and an important part of tourist offer. The gastronomic and cultural diversity offered by our small country is one of the main reasons to visit Slovenia. Slovenia is also known for being one of the most sustainability-oriented countries in Europe.
In 2021 Slovenia was awarded European Region of Gastronomy, has 12 chefs awarded one or two Michelin stars and boasts the best female chef in the world 2017 - Ana Roš with her award winning restaurant Hiša Franko which is currently listed as 38th of the world's top 50 restaurants.
